About this project

Students learned about the primary and secondary colors and color mixing. They watched a video about "Goldie the Goldfish" and created beautiful drawings while focusing on the color Red.

About this project

Students learned about primary and secondary colors. They also learned how to color mix. As they worked, students listened to an audio book titled: My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish, a Scholastic's Book Club recommendation. In addition, they studied various images of the main character "Frankie" and friends like "Sharkie". Students were also given a choice to draw "Goldie the Goldfish" or make their own fish creation.

 

 

Grade 3rd - 6th 

 

About this project

Students learned about contour drawing. They used line, shape and value to create form. They also used a 5-10 tile value scale to determine and incorporate varying areas of value in their drawing. Scale was also studied and students were encouraged to draw items in life-sized proportions.
